le monde de jean
Adapted from the novel 'Mondo Ioannis' by Y. D. Matteo

A healing juggler, a magnetizer specializing in plastics.
A crow painted white? A wolf in sheep's clothing? A budget guru?
Jean defines himself as a "healing juggler, a magnetizer specializing in plastics." But above all, he is a man of his time. Nostalgic for a past he never knew, and fearful of a future that will probably never exist.
Jean is a bit jaded. Every day, he is bombarded with massive amounts of information. So much so that he doesn't have the time to check what is true and what is false. So much so that he struggles to follow through on the things he wants to achieve, while also lacking the time to act on all fronts. So, he holds on as best he can, stumbling from one blunder to the next. He tries to move forward, to understand where he comes from, who he is, and where he is going. All to build this narrative as best he can—an autobiography despite himself. A story he delivers with a presence that doesn't quite belong to him, bringing laughter where he least expects it, and generously offering his juggling as a remedy for the deep voids his world suffers from.
Last week, he read the introduction to a book on Japan and absolutely loved it. Plus, he later remembered that he used to do judo when he was a kid. So, he self-proclaimed himself a Nippologist. Which is just as well—his Andean cultures phase was starting to drag on a bit too long anyway.
